Fact or Fake (“the App”) is developed by Harshit Gindra. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

The App operates entirely offline and on-device. Specifically:

• No account creation — The App does not require or offer user accounts.
• No personal data — We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information.
• No analytics or tracking — We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising frameworks.
• No network requests — The App does not communicate with any external servers.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Game settings — Theme preference, font size, haptics toggle, selected categories, and difficulty filter (stored in UserDefaults).
• Game history — Solo play answers, streaks, XP, and multiplayer game records (stored in SwiftData/SQLite on-device database).
• Player names — Names entered for multiplayer mode are stored only in local memory during gameplay and in game history records on-device.

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data.

The only data that may leave your device is when you voluntarily use the Share Results feature after a multiplayer game, which uses the system share sheet to share a text summary via your chosen method (Messages, email, etc.).

Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored exclusively on your device. You can delete all App data by:

• Deleting the App from your device (removes all associated data)
• Using the in-app reset options where available

Children’s Privacy

The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App contains no advertising, in-app purchases, or external links beyond the privacy policy and terms of use.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
